Done with the Birches

Finally finished my tree painting of the Birch's Path.  Man did those branches take a long time.  Got to get the detail though.  Happy Mother's Day for mamma.  She framed it right away and misses looking at it when she goes on vacation.  Awe!  Signature & title along the bottom right branches.

First art showing!

Several of my pieces were displayed at the InArtsNW's "Heartbreak & Science Fair" art walk.  This is the first display of my artwork, outside the two pieces I had up for auction for a fundraiser, & what's all over my apartment (of course).

The heartbreak applied to my rare & endangered species drawings which fell into the science category as well.

I had a few heartbreak-y portraits as well.  Awe, love & heartbreak (and science) for the pink-holiday.

Birch's Path

I've been tracking the progress of this Mother's Day gift for my delightful mum.  I'm on the finishing touches now.  Perhaps I should be painting instead of posting...

End of July, 2015- leaf detail in the path

August- starting the branches (hold on to your butts)

September, 2015- more details on the bark, branches getting finer & finer

Happy Halloween 2015
December 2015

2 days later in January- leafy details, grass too

As of end of December......branches done (ohmygosh took forever!), now the detail touches.

January 2016, here come the leaves
January (a week later)

April 2016- more and more leafy details
